"A multinational manufacturer adopted Odoo ERP to replace its legacy system, improving efficiency across functions and geographies."

A leading manufacturing company with operations in over 3 countries recognized that its 15-year-old legacy ERP system had become obsolete, leading to a range of operational challenges. Each site had customized its own version of the ERP, resulting in fragmented systems, inconsistent data, and rising maintenance costs.

To make matters more complex, different regions and departments were using a variety of non-standard applications for core processes, which further compounded data inconsistencies and created significant challenges in consolidated reporting. High degrees of local customization and version discrepancies made the generation of standardized reports time-consuming and costly.

The organization identified the urgent need for a modern ERP platform that could unify data and processes across all business functions and geographies. Their goal was to establish a single, reliable source of truth that could integrate critical functions such as finance, sales, procurement, inventory management, production, quality control, and plant maintenance.

With Odoo selected as the preferred ERP solution,  Suvrin Technologies partnered with the manufacturing company to replace its outdated legacy ERP system with a modern Odoo ERP platform tailored to the unique needs of the manufacturing industry. Leveraging deep industry expertise, the solution not only streamlined core operations but also redefined several existing business processes for greater efficiency—for instance, optimizing material management workflows.

To drive the transformation, a cross-functional team was formed, comprising key stakeholders from the company’s business and IT units. Suvrin Technologies deployed its resources on-site to facilitate close collaboration across teams and ensure alignment throughout the project.

With a consulting-led approach, the Suvrin team focused on addressing both immediate operational challenges and potential future gaps. Team members were selected based on their combined expertise in Odoo technologies and in-depth understanding of the manufacturing domain.

The manufacturing company was able to accomplish three distinctive outcomes from the new ERP implementation. First, it was able to digitize various processes which the previous ERP system was incapable of.

Second, the ERP helped the company standardize processes across various functions. Third, the implementation standardized reporting across various business constituencies, enabling the management to make better strategic decisions.

Cross-industry : The system supports multiple vertical businesses. Some of the most notable Odoo customers include: Toyota, CSC Scientific, SoftIron, Nordika and many others. User Interface : Odoo has a simple user environment and very intuitive programming. Our customers find it easy to train their teams and receive positive feedback on the user interface. Flexibility : Integrations, applications, and additional functionality can be added over time, while many other ERP systems require a specific set of technologies to implement. API Friendly: Odoo can be effectively integrated with other major systems, most notably: Amazon, eBay, UPS/FedEx and QuickBooks. - implement: Slow and steady: Odoo allows organizations to grow and evolve with the software instead of implementing an overwhelming solution that a business will find difficult to manage. Modules, apps, and features can be added throughout the business transformation process and can evolve as your digital strategy evolves. Ease of Execution: Because of the product’s relative ease of use and technical simplicity, it can be easier, less costly, and less risky to implement than other ERP systems.
